Ha sido la gran triunfadora de la noche. La gala de los Premios Emmy 2021 había despertado enorme expectación. Después de unos tiempos realmente duros, la alfombra roja volvía a brillar para entregar unos galardones al más puro estilo pre pandemia. No faltaba ninguna de las grandes figuras de la pequeña pantalla en los premios más importantes del sector. Una ceremonia en la que Netflix al fin se ha sacado una de sus grandes espinitas, logrando el máximo galardón de la Academia de la Televisión.
Ha tenido que ser The Crown la encargada de darle a Netflix su primera noche de gloria. La sensacional ficción se alzaba con el premio a la Mejor Serie de Drama, masacrando a la competencia al alzarse también con los galardones a Josh O’Connor (Mejor actor) y Olivia Colman (Mejor actriz). Por si no fuese suficiente, Tobias Menzies y Gillian Anderson ganaban los respectivos premios en las interpretaciones secundarias.
Pero ahí no terminaban las buenas noticias. Gambito de dama se convertía en la Mejor Miniserie y se llevaba el premio a la Mejor Dirección. Eso sí, la fiesta no era completa ya que Mare of Easttown lograba era la más premiada en la categoría, gracias a los reconocimientos a las interpretaciones de Kate Winslet, Julianne Nicholson y Evan Peters. En cualquier caso, nadie podía empañar la gran noche de Netflix.
